Bank of America Ceasing Funding for Mountain Top Removal

It’s not often that advancements in the environmental movement, and good moves by corporations and institutions are brought to light. As I mentioned in a previous post, there was a concerted attempt to stage protests outside of Banks of America all over the country since the bank is funding mountain top removal, and funding the coal industry. In light of these protests, the bank has made the decision to phase out and cease all funding for mountain top removal. Here’s the story on it. Although this is only one good step by Bank of America, and it still has more steps to take for sure, I wanted to extend by gratitude to them for their new position. I can only hope that they continue to progress forward.

  1. First piece of actual good news I’ve seen on this story. Thanks Matt.

I suppose we could ask Bank America why they thought bankrolling this sort of sociopathic activity was a good idea.

This entire story is beyond bizarre.
