Deal at Copenhagen Delayed

They had all but said it directly, but now they have.  Copenhagen has changed from the final deadline for a treaty to a stepping stone for a treaty next year.  Obviously delay is always bad, especially when emissions need need start being cut as soon as possible.  I don’t however think this is the end all be all for a climate treaty, and I think once the US passes climate legislation early next year, all the right pieces will be in place for a treaty.  Here is the NY Times article.
